We live in a day when good news is hard to come by. Economically, things have become worse. Gas prices make it so that all you can do is afford to drive back and forth to work. Grocery prices are getting to the point where it is hard to feed a family; our higher education system is letting our children and us down, and the country which was known as the home of the brave and land of the free is increasingly seeing communism take over in local government.

As a follower of Christ, we do our best to stay positive, to try and see the hand of God in all this mess, but let’s be honest, sometimes that isn’t always easy. But let me share with you something that should put a smile on all our faces and warm the heart.  Revelation 1:7, “Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.”

Just think about it. There is a day that is coming soon when Jesus will descend from heaven, the trumpet will sound, the dead in Christ shall rise, and those of us who are still alive will all be caught up together with the Lord, so we shall always be together with Him. Where I come from, we call that good news, and I think we all need some of that.

I know that there are days you wonder if you can keep going on. You wonder where the Lord is, not only in the mess that is the world, but in all the hardships of our personal lives. All of us go through things, and we feel like we are all alone and that no one understands or cares. We feel like we have been deserted to the jaws of an uncaring world.

I just want you to know that you are not alone. Jesus knows where you are and what you are going through. I want to remind us all that it is for those tears He died, and He holds each one in the palm of His hand. I also want to remind you to look at the eastern sky and remember that all this has come to pass. Jesus said that He goes and prepares a place for us, and if He goes to prepare a place for us, He will come again so that where He is, we shall be also.

He is coming. I do not make this claim on my own volition. I make this claim based upon the promise that Jesus Himself made. So, don’t give up or give in. Stay stubborn in your walk; allow that smile to come back to your face because our Savior is coming, and He is coming soon.
