ANNOUNCEMENTS
►NEW TO OLD TOWN HILL
WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I COME?
Welcome!

Attending a new church can be a frightening experience.  Below are some Frequently Asked Questions that might help you learn what to expect.  If you have more questions, then email our office at ►othchurch@comcast.net.

*What should I wear?
You'll find all sorts of dress in our services.  We have people in jeans and t-shirts and people in suits & ties and nice dresses.  Dress yourself in a way that is comfortable for you.  You won't have to look far to find someone dressed like you.

*What is the music like?
The music at Old Town Hill is best described as blended.  In a typical service, the congregation will sing 2-3 praise songs and 2-3 hymns.  The praise songs are anything from Chris Tomlin songs to songs that have been around for a while.  In addition to the congregational singing, the Old Town Hill Choir sings once each week, singing songs in a variety of styles: choir anthems, praise songs, spirituals, southern gospel, hymns, etc.  Finally, a soloist usually sings during the offering.  That music varies like the choir music, depending on who is singing that day.

*What do I do with my kids?
For kids birth to 5 years old, there is a nursery that is available during the entire service and Sunday School.  Instead of the ►nursery, kids 4 and 5 years old up to kids in 4th grade can stay in the main service for the first half (singing, etc.) and be dismissed to ►children's church during the preaching.  Older kids will stay in the main service the entire time.  ►Sunday School classes are available for all age groups.

*Is there a welcome area for visitors?
Yes!  Please stop by and receive information about our church.  We'd also like to give you a free gift.  In addition, fill out a visitors card so that we have a record of your attendance and can follow up on your visit.

*Will everyone know I'm new?
Probably not, so don't sweat it!  Our church has new people visit us every Sunday.  Though there's a good chance someone might think you look new and welcome you to our church, but you won't be made to feel silly or do anything special during the worship service.

*Is the service charismatic or pentecostal?
No.  While people in our church do worship God during the service and might clap hands or a few might even raise their hands, our services are not charismatic.
