 Our church belongs to the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest protestant denomination in the United States, with over 16 million church members in over 42,000 churches. Southern Baptists believe in a personal salvation experience by believing in Jesus Christ as God's only Son who came to earth, lived a perfect life, died to pay for our sins, and was resurrected on the third day. Southern Baptists also believe in baptism by immersion. Southern Baptist Churches are locally governed, with area, state, and national associations and conventions serving as resources, support, and a mode for cooperation in missions and other large endeavors. Southern Baptists take the Great Commission seriously, proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ at home and all around the earth. There is much more you can learn about Southern Baptists.
